Best place in Como
As a couple spending Valentine in Como, the hotel was a great choice, the location is perfect, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the room spacious, clean with a superb view for the lake the Valentine was very chic and tasty, with a touch of gastronomy ...Sure we suggest this hotel and our next stay at Como we will stay at Palace again,....Bravo to all the staff :)
Hotel and Restarurant to be Excellent
I found the hotel and the restaurant to be excellent. In particular, Jessica was most helpful.

We did enjoy our stay at the Palace Hotel for the New Year's Eve: the whole staff is friendly, helpful and pleasant, no matter what the problem might be.
A great BRAVO to the Maître, Christian, whose work (and Crêpes Suzette), efficiency and courtesy are excellent.
The location of the hotel is remarkable, with a splendid view all over the lake, very close to the heart of the city and the boat tours.
A fiew things we could deplore: the hotel, though magnificient, needs a reform, both internal and external; we also were surprised by the size of the room (we booked a lake view one but it did not match the pictures of the website, our room was very narrow); and also deplore the lack of shower enclosure.
But whenever we fly back to Como, we certainly will book with the Palace Hotel (or the Barchetta Excelsior) again.

Very nice hotel and great location. When I return to Como, I will stay at Palace.
So convenient and great view
We loved the location of the hotel. Arriving at Como San Giovanni Station, required a short taxi ride and we were blown away by the location by the lake. The funicular and ferry wharves were just a few steps away. The room was comfortable and nicely serviced and breakfast was very good. It was a pity the restaurant and bar were not open on our first night, but the hotel was in easy walking distance of several excellent restaurants. We liked one so much we returned on two occasions.
