Food & Wine tours
Food & Wine are at the core of the Italian traditions and every region has its own identity that they proudly boast about! Como gathers together the lake, valleys and mountains and presents a rich cuisine made by local dishes such as "polenta uncia" (a corn meal porridge with melted butter and cheese), which you can taste in the "crottos", typical restaurants caved in the rock. From Como, you can easily reach other locations in Lombardy, all of them famous for their typical products. To quote but some: Pavia with its wine (Otrepò Pavese), Valtellina with its bresaola, a delicious cold-cut made from finest quality beef, Franciacorta with its sparkling wines which have nothing to envy to Champagne.
